Joining Chat Rooms

When joining one of our chat rooms, your browser will prompt you for permission to access your microphone and camera. Be sure to select Allow.

Joining Audio:

When joining the chat room, you will see options for your audio settings. You will be able to test your microphone and speakers are working by speaking and checking you hear an echo back. You should see energy in the 'audio stream volume' if your microphne is working. If not, you may need to change the device. Similarly, if you do not hear the echo back, you may need to change the speakers to another of the options available.

Joining Webcam:

When joining the chat room, you will also see options for your webcam settings. Here you can choose your camera device (if you have more than one), set the quality of the picture and choose a background if required.

After joining audio and entered the meeting, you will see your webcam image and a microphone icon next to your name.
